From last year; a mix of public domain footage, footage recorded from my car and backyard, and a soundtrack remixed from Air, Aphex Twin, Broken Social Scene, and Sigur Ros. I composed footage of cars and traffic with the natural traffic and movement of wind.

Traffic is a significant property of innumerable systems. It provides a way to virtually modify the configuration of a physical space by providing conduits for the deposition and removal of things. If one thinks of a space as a system, with states based upon configuration of the things within it, then traffic is the story of the state transitions that define the behavior of that system.
By showing the similarities (and differences) of the traffic patterns in the various examples in the video, you’ve demonstrated similarities (and dissimilarities) of behavior, towards a more gneral understanding of the principles underlying the various systems. And that’s a great buzz!
